Brethren, Please try to be at the Master Mason Degree emergent communication of Cabarrus Lodge Thursday night!  One of our FCs, Brother Perry Lee Sams, will raised at that communication.  Cabarrus Lodge conducts their Master Mason Degree work at 7:00pm, with supper at 6:00pm.

We will need your presence, not only to help with the work, but to be there for this very important event for our Brother Sams.

Don’t miss this opportunity to take part in the work and and enjoy the camaraderie that we all greatly anticipated at the beginning of our own Masonic histories.

We Have Lost Our Oldest Brother

Brethren, I just received word from our WM that our Brother Franklin Dwight Mitchell has passed away.

A Masonic Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00am this Wednesday morning, the 19th of October, at Bethel United Methodist Church(on Bethel Church Road, near 24/27).  The information we have is that Brother Mitchell will be interred at a cemetery in Sparta, NC.  Brother Mitchell was our only centenarian, 102 years old, and a member of Union Lodge for 37 years.

If you can attend the funeral service, please do.  Masonic funeral services are quite often the first encounter with our fraternity for many non-Masons.

Ladie’s Night Is Drawing Near

Brethren, We have a Ladies Night Banquet scheduled for Saturday, November 19th, at 6:30pm!  Entertainment will be provided by Cody Creek, a really good bluegrass/gospelgrass band.

Tickets are $10 per person, and can be obtained by contacting WB Bobby Burgess. His email address is bb@electriclaser.com

Several brothers picked up some tickets to sell, so if you know someone who might have been at the stated last night, you might be able to get tickets from that individual, and give Bobby a break.

If you have been to a Union Lodge Ladies Night Banquet in the past few years, you know to expect good food, good fellowship, good entertainment, and just all-around good fun.
