What is Freemasonry

Freemasonry is one of the worlds oldest fraternal societies. Ancient Freemasonrys lessons of moral values governing relations between people and its acknowledgement, without crossing the boundaries of religion, that all depends on the providence of God, apply today with as much force as they did when it took its modern form at the turn of the 17th century. Freemasonry has “secrets” used in proof of membership but it is not a secret society. Some of its internal affairs are private and Freemasons incline to reticence about their membership because they are taught not to use it to advance their own interests.

Although all Masons are required to profess and continue in a belief in a Supreme Being, and their ceremonies include prayers, Freemasonry is no substitute for religion: it has and can have no theological doctrines; it offers no sacraments, and does not claim to lead to salvation.

Finding Your Path In Life

Written by Brother Todd E. Creason…

Sometimes people are surprised to learn that I’ve not been Freemason for a very long time. I was raised a Master Mason in 2005.

I was in my late thirties, I’d been married for about seven years, I was very accomplished in my job,

I had a good reputation, owned a home, new cars, and we had a lot of very good friends. In other words, we’d been pretty successful in life so far.

My fascination with Freemasonry is finally what made me wonder if that wasn’t where the answers lay.

Masonic Education: Because sitting through the minutes is not enough!

From The Winding Stairs podcast..

When a man decides he wants to learn more about Freemasonry, often times it is because they see something admirable on others who are already members of the Fraternity.

It often stems from the desire to grow as human beings and serve as an example for others. However, merely joining the Fraternity is not enough. It is important that a Man stays desirous of Light in order for that wish of improvement to become a reality.

Instrument of Peace

“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen”

-St. Francis of Assisi
