Mr. James Thomas “J.T” Nance Jr., age 72, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Nance was born January 10, 1940 in Union County N.C., son of the late James Thomas Nance Sr. and Sylvania Mullis Nance. J.T. was also preceded in death by his first wife; Sylvia Rowell Nance who died October 1, 1999. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate the life of J.T. will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Bill Englebreth and Rev. Bob Short officiating, interment will follow in the Emmanuel Cemetery, with Masonic Rites by the Midland Lodge # 618, where J.T. was a Master Mason for 37 years….
